Scoring 250 And Above In Your Jamb 2018 Examination
I feel shocked when I hear jamb candidates say “Jamb is a difficult exam and you need to cheat to pass”. I ask myself always,”why are jamb candidate so scared of their examination? and what gives them the impression that its a tough exam?”. From my observation, I find out that many jamb candidates are ignorant of some secret which can make them pass In flying colours. I came up with some secrets to enlighten you on how you could score 250 and above In your forth coming jamb examination. The secrets are outlined below:
1) FEAR: No man can achieve a task if he has the fear of starting. Many jamb candidate are so scared of their exam ahead. They have the feeling they might not get a good score after writing, so they panic before writing instead of reading. As a jambite you need to put out your fear first in oder to excel. Always have a positive taught about your exam, beat up your chest and say “I can do it”.
2) Having a target: Setting a target helps you gain focus and determination in what you want to achieve. Most jambites read without setting a target which may be a cause of their low performance in their exam. I always encourage jambites to set a high target and work towards it.
3) Studying smart: Long hours of reading is not a necessary criteria for getting a high score. For my observations, I found out that smart reading is the key to excelling. As a jambite you should be familiar with the patter with which jamb questions come. You can achieve this by studying with jamb syllabus and reading with past questions. Get familiar with the topics that frequently appear in the exam because jamb repeats their questions.
4) Regular practices: Constant practicing of your past question is needed for you to get familiar with the questions and the pattern in which they come. During my time as a jambite, I read everyday for more than 3 hours. Before 2 months I became familiar with the questions and could answer a question off hand. I encourage you seek smart reading today.
5) Prayers: In everything you do always remember to put God first. Prayers can help you achieve a lots. Talk to God about what you want. The bible said,”Ask and it shall be given unto you”. Pray before you and after your exam, don’t be in a hurry to leave. Crosscheck at least twice, pray and submit.
6) The three-in-one factor: I call it a three-in-one factored because it is very important for scholars. You need rest, sleep, and good food. You need to relax your body after each study while doing that you can also memorise what you have read. Have a good sleep especially the night to your exam to avoid straining of the brain and sleeping in the hall. Good food is needed to keep you healthy and strong to avoid falling ill on or before the exam.

7) Avoid cheating: Many people fail as a result of cheating. I remember a boy who paid someone a huge amount of money to help him cheat. Unfortunately, the person disappointed him and deceived to make it up to him by sending him answers via text message. Unfortunately too, the boy was caught by the invigilator and was penalized. So stay away from malpractice.
8) Conversation with friends: There is a popular saying, “No man is an island”. You can’t know everything if you are a genus. You need to converse with your peer(serious ones) in other to learn from them and also teach them what they don’t know. You learn better by teaching people.
9) Early arrival: It’s wrong to travel on the day of your exam because you may face some challenges on the way, which could lead to penalization. I advice you travel on time and also be at your exam venue at least 2 hours before time.
