5 Major Reason Students Don't Get Shortlisted In Scholarship- See Reason

5 Major Reason Students Don't Get Shortlisted In Scholarship- See Reason

A lot of students apply for scholarships and at the end, they are not even shortlisted. This has been a major headache among university students.
Many people believe that it is done randomly and there is no criterion. This I have proven wrong by changing application strategies.

I would be listing out the major reasons I have discovered in the course of scholarship applications for myself and people.
1.Poor Document Quality: Important Undergraduate scholarships in Nigeria are a little bit strict in their selection. When asked to scan and upload, be sure that the document’s resolution is good enough(70dpi is fair enough)  and the size is moderate (not greater than 200kb) preferably in JPG. This can be done during the scanning operation not by cutting or editing.
2.Inappropriate Documents : For instance if you are asked to upload your birth certificate, don’t upload that which you received from the hospital. Upload the birth certificate you obtained from the government (population commission).

3.Misplaced Names/Titles: This is always seen during bulk applications. Giving the title of a document to another portrays unseriousness and carelessness

4.Laziness:Giving your document. to someone to apply for you can be detrimental due to the fact that no one can take care of your matters more than you.  I indulge all undergraduates to apply by themselves or be present during the application.
5.Lateness: Others are late applications, double applications, funny email address like starboy@mail.com using your nickname for an official matter.

Futo looses two students to death in a week

Futo looses two students to death in a week

Tragedy struck the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri as the University loses Two Students in a week.

It has been reported that one of the Students died of a Centipede bite, while the other died of a bike accident.
The Student That Died Of Centipede Bite

The Student That Died Of Bike Accident

A student of the University (Name Withheld) took to his Facebook to write a tribute for the deceased persons and advised other students on the need to be careful while using the newly completed Eziobodo Futo road.

He said "May the soul of the young man (an accident victim along Futo Road) rest in peace Amen.

An advice for those of you staying at Eziobodo, when walking along Futo road, be as vigilant as possible.

Always walk opposing the traffic flow. In other words, always keep left when going on the road instead of the usual keeping to the right. Let me put it this way, don't walk along the same direction with motorists. Don't let then follow you at the back. Why do I say this, You don't have eyes at the back of your head to see some reckless bike men or even reckless motorists coming behind you.

Whether you are going to school or visiting your friends, always walk opposing the traffic flow. This is applicable to those of you that go for Roadworks
Do your jugging opposing the traffic flow.

If you really care about the welfare of your fellow students  share this post or make similar post that will put an end to any Road accident along Futo Road and the entire Futo community.
Futo expels six involved in the strike

Futo expels six involved in the strike

The Six expelled Students of the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri have threatened to shut down the school to make sure their voices are heard and save their fellow students from an impending doom.

This Message was passed on one of their Social Media Platform.

TO ALL CONCERNED FUTOITES!!!

"Our attention have been drawn to the Purported NO SCHOOL FEES NO EXAMS Policy recently introduced by the Prof.Francis Eze Administration in the prestigious Federal University of Technology Owerri, which stops all matriculated students owing any fees or any of the Self imposed dues from writing his/her examination billed to commence on the 12th June 2017.

To put records straight, the new policy was among our agitations which led to the 17th Feb.2017,peaceful protest of which none of our plights have been attended to, instead students are now posed with strenuous transport atmosphere which permits trekking of long distances, harassments by the Nigerian Police and other security outfits and introduction of Toll Gates at every entrance to the main campus as the Vice Chancellor Prof. Francis Eze now moves with illegal fleet of Police convoy, to further intimidate the students and perfect his selfish plans,"No Peace for the Wicked'.

Subsequently,we shall brief the Press on the Conspiracy between a serving minister from Imo extraction and Prof. Francis Eze (Vice Chancellor Futo), the roles of the monetized NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS (NANS) and SUG under Comr. Akano Nnaemeka who danced in our pains. We are still investigating the STAND of the various religious leaders in the over three months Futo crisis. Don't we have parents who work with the ministry of education, Nigeria University Commission, Presidency or the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)?,Where are our respected Professors and Great scholars of international repute?, What of past and present members of the senate? Members of the Governing Council?.

We cannot forget to commend the efforts of the Association of Nigerian Students Against Neo Liberal Attacks (ANSA),Committee for the Defence For Human Rights (CDHR) under Bar.Malachy Ugwummadu, various print and electronic media like the Sahara reporters, PUNCH, NEW TELEGRAPH, GUARDIAN, NEWS POINT, COMMUNITY WATCHDOG, HORN NEWSPAPERS, who gave Futoites voice from 17th Feb.till date in ensuring that the problems that led to the last peaceful march are attended to no matter who is involved.

As we wish our fellow Futoites success in the forthcoming exams, we are glad to inform you that any attempt by the Futo management to stop the least futoite from writing his/her exams starting from Monday 12th June, shall be greeted by a peaceful protest no matter the level of illegal security outfit on ground.

Our Mumu Don too Much!!!
